Vedanayaka Sastri, who was patronized by King Sarabhoji of Thanjavur is a Tamil Christian. He wrote many books in related to Christianity. Although his were not published due financial problems, some for three times during lifetime. One among those ‘Sastira Kummi’ which very famous. In this book we can know about thoughts feminism. This simple language and he has recorded messages it, condemning superstitious beliefs, harm caused shaguna shastram, witchcraft upholding women's rights so on. more than eight hundred songs criticizing the customs superstitions that time.
